Our
rabbit is called "Bunnie." She is toilet trained, and she goes
under Koko's "tree" on the newspapers. She is a small rabbit,
with a very friendly nature. She loves to be carried up and
caressed. She runs loose all day, and goes to her cage to sleep at
night.
Here
Bunnie is lounging in front of the fireplace. She is very relaxed.
Her favorite friend among the parrots is Julie. None of the other parrots
seems to know that Bunnie exists.
Bunnie and Julie "kissing." Julie even shares some of
Bunnie's Timothy Hay! The two are fully aware of each other, and they run
to play together. This is amazing to us, we never expected this to happen.
My
wife made a "Bunnie Den" for Bunnie. She loves to go in it
and look out at all of us and the parrots. She also chews one side of the
"Den."
UPDATE:
On September 15, 2003 Bunnie passed away. She was under doctor's care, and
we were told it was incurable cancer. We were very sad. My wife
thinks one cannot go on living without a bunny having known our little Bunnie,
so the very next day, we went together and got a lovely Holland Lop Dwarf.
We named her Honey Bunny due to her color (officially fawn.) Two pictures
of her are shown here. She is as adorable, as active, and as loving as Bunnie
was. She is also well trained and very clean. Just like Bunnie, she
has the whole pet room with the birds. She is free to roam as she likes
all day, only at night she willingly goes into her cage for the
night.
