On August 2,2002, I was in the garage fixing my bike when I heard the crows outside shouting loud, must have been a dozen or more of them in the trees. As usual, I suspected there is something annoying them. Usually it is a hawk, but this time it was a fox! I ran inside and took my camera. The fox was motionless, scared, wondering about all this noise the crows were making. He was looking away from me about 300' away.
Suddenly, he turned and started to move in my direction. Unfortunately the digital camera was too slow, so I could only take a few pictures as you see on this page. I think he was very cute, and started to move closer.
He began to climb the little hill moving
exactly to where I was standing. Initially he was looking at the grass as he
came closer to me. When he became really close, he saw me.
He took one look and ran away to the side of the house. This gives you an idea about the
location of our house. We see deer, geese, rabbits, fox, terrapins, hawks, and many other critters. We also see many birds, my favorite being the Bluebird.
I hope you have enjoyed these pictures. Life and nature are so beautiful, all
we have to do is pay attention!
